Lunch LadyThe Lunch Lady delivers to the school every Tuesday. Paper order forms are available at the school or you can order online. To contact the kitchen directly you can email them at
[email protected] Family Movie NightPut on your comfy clothes or pyjamas and come join your friends to watch movies at the school. There's even popcorn! These were such a great success that they've become a regular feature. So far this year we've shown Pete's Dragon and the Incredibles.
Multicultural DinnerThis is one big pot luck meal. VM's families come from all over the world and share their native cuisines. This event is organized by the school and School Council and partially funded through Council.

Boomerang KidsDo you have clothes and other items that your children have outgrown? Hand them in at the Glebe location under Council's account by using the school's phone number
(613-733-5955). Boot (and Coat) SaleIt started out with boots but now we've added coats and snow pants. Each year (usually in the Fall) we collect gently used items that the kids have outgrown and sell them for $1.00 a pair. We also collect hats and mitts for the teachers give out during the school year to those who need them.

Book GiveawayWe ask families to send in their gently used kids books. We sort them out and students are invited to shop for used books during the school day. Practically every child goes home with at least one "new" book to enjoy.
Refuse-to-Lose AwardDo you know a member of the VM community who's spirit embodies our school's motto of "Refuse to Lose"? Let us know who they are and why you think they deserve recognition. We give out this award at the end of each school year.
Kindergarten PlayThe new kindergarten play yard officially opened November 2014. THANK YOU to the parents who were key players in making this happen. School Council, with the support of the greater VM community, our families and friends, secured $90,000 in funding from the AVIVA Community Fund for a brand new playground for our kindergarten students.

Scholastic Book FairThe book fair is a big hit every year. The kids love to come down to the library to look at the books and other neat things like erasers and posters. The book fair raises over $1500 in credit that our librarian uses to buy books for VM's library.
Do-NothingDo nothing for something. No selling involved. Just send cash or cheques! This is School Council's biggest fundraiser, bringing in the bulk of our funding for the year. This year we raised over $2,000.
